Hey, I'm April — Welcome to Lessons in Light!

This little one-woman operation started from my love of treasure hunting, getting creative, and finding cleaner, more sustainable ways to bring beauty into everyday life. I couldn’t find candles that felt right—so I started making my own. And it kind of took off from there.

Now, Forgotten & Found is all about handmade, naturally-scented candles, creative workshops, and one-of-a-kind pieces that bring a little more joy and calm into your space. I’ve had the chance to work with some amazing local brands and host workshops that remind people (and myself!) how important it is to stay playful and inspired.

This blog is a space to learn new things, spark creativity, and explore the heart behind Forgotten & Found. I’ll be sharing insights, behind-the-scenes peeks, and tips to help you connect more deeply with creativity, sustainability, and the story behind what I create.
